UPDATE & REVIEW The Passive Income arena is still very much up and down, and there is a surprising amount of activity for summer-time in the northern hemisphere. Usually it is much quieter until September. This sustained activity may be due to the global financial situation with more people trying to earn money over the internet, hence more programs but less spare money around! It is certainly a time to be very careful. Currently, I am concentrating on those programs that have a good record of paying out, with plans that are sustainable in the long term. My top two category 1 programs are still in the midst of changes to cope with the financial situation and the severe difficulty of moving large amounts of funds around. One has gone completely private and other, QLx3 has had to work around the problems. I am looking forward to both of them being strong during the second half of 2009. Meanwhile, many have concentrated on the traffic exchange arena which has seen some big changes during this year. The high daily rate auto-surfs have had their day and a significant pattern has emerged for the most popular traffic exchange programs. Star performer in this area has been AdVentures4U which has consistently averaged 14% rebates avery week and continues to grow it's membership (now over 45,000). Programs like GlobalRevShare, 15AdsDaily and PayItForwardTraffic have emerged with plans that emulate the AV4U success. Details of all the traffic exchange programs are on my traffic exchange page. Long standing traffic exchange programs like AdViewGlobal and AdGateWorld are having to re-think and move away from a bonus culture to something much more sustainable. AGW has already made the move to adopt an AV4U type plan, but AVG still appears to have some way to go. Most of my traffic exchange programs are listed in Category 2 and the other star performer in Cat 2 has been GoldNuggetInvest (GNI) which has produced a steady 6% a week, completely passively. this all sorts out. I am sure GNI is working feverishly to sort this all
out. Many of you joined AAN and DRF Group, both potentially good Category 2 programs, with great potential to become category 1 programs later this year. However, both continue to have teething problems. AAN has still not listed our purchases and sales in our back office, despite many promises. I gather the programming and data entry is complicated, but why make it so complicated!! DRF has sufferred from problems with currency transfers in underlying investments. Others worth consideration in Category 2 are: GibLink has worked for well for many of you and currently has an outstanding offer for members - top places in a new and exciting program. Message Magic, a another long lasting program, with a matrix which goes out of it's way to pay the new members and those that have so far earned the least. Active players are doing well, but those that are purely passive have had variable results, as it's a matter of luck, or good timing where you end up in the pulsed matrices. The only sure way of making money is to share the program with others. Details under New Programs. I did feature one or two of the popular HYIPs on my HYIP page, but this is a very volatile area. As I said on the Strategies page, unless you can quickly recover your seed money, without gambling or greed getting the better of you, it is best to stay away completely from such programs. Currently I have just the DRF Group listed but I hope to add others shortly. The snag is that this is precisely the area that alot of people are attracted to, because of the high yield, but the programs are usually set up deliberately to take the most money they can from the unweary! As soon as the admins profits tail off, they disappear! There are lots of matrix and MLM programs out there, but unless you get in a very early position or you are a good recruiter these are best avoided. 2X2 programs are very popular with the recruiters currently and although I could do very well with these, I have tended to give them a miss as I know most of my passive subscribers would struggle with them. I have joined one 2X2 that is not fully launching until 1st August. Currently it's in pre-launch and you can actually fill up cycles right now and then get paid when it launches. There's not much in the way of private ventures in the Members Area, as the good ones have gone completely private. I hope to be adding some more private programs during the next couple of months.
