UPDATE & REVIEW

The last month or two has certainly been a very bumpy ride in the passive income arena.

My two best programs of the last year or two, MrsVXX and QLX3 are still awaiting the release of funds due to worldwide money transfer delays and restrictions. Most of the traffic exchange programs have had to reduce their rebate payments and find new sources of income to keep them going.

There are also a lot of new programs opening up every day. But beware! They all say that their program is wonderful and probably the best opportunity for us to make money - lots of it. But, let's face it, the main reason admins bring out new programs is to actually make money from us!

Thankfully, there are a few exceptions, but these are few and far between. So we need to be very selective in choosing programs and very careful in the way we manage our accounts in them. Throwing funds at every new program that comes along is a sure-fire way of losing most of it.

That's where my Successful Strategies page can help, but you need to adapt this to your particular situation.

I have been concentrating of late on those programs that have their own expert traders and provide us with a passive investment pool. If you can find two or three of these that are the real deal, they can form the backbone of your investment portfolio. Here are three or four that may fit the bill!

A star performer has been GoldNuggetInvest (GNI) which has produced a steady 6% to 7% a week, completely passively for around 2 years now. It is based on arbitrage betting which is almost risk free and is completely passive and very easy to join. I now consider GNI as a Category 1 program.

Another excellent performer is VanFunds which has several years of steady trading under it's belt. Again, completely passive and relatively easy to join, it has been providing returns of between 11% and 19% a month throughout this year and offers four different pooled funds, all based on forex trading. VanFunds is also a Cat 1 program.

Another program I have been monitoring for some time and have now joined, and which I consider an excellent Cat 2 program is Genius Funds It has been in operation well over a year and is based on various forms of trading, paying out 20% to 30% a month. Again very easy to join and fund.

My Private Programs 01 and 02 also fall into the passive pool category of programs with similar monthly returns to the above three programs - see the Members Area.

As I said above, the traffic exchange programs have been hit hard with the collapse of AdViewGlobal and AdGateWorld and the near collapse of AdVentures4U. I am still peresevering with programs like GlobalRevShare, AdTrafficExplosion and PayItForwardTraffic These have had to modify their rebate % to match their revenues and/or utilise other sources of income. Message Magic, a another long lasting program, with a matrix which goes out of it's way to pay the new members and those that have so far earned the least. Active players are doing well, but those that are purely passive have had variable results, as it's a matter of luck, or good timing where you end up in the pulsed matrices. The only sure way of making money is to share the program with others. Details under New Programs. Also consider the other new programs: Sqip, Me2Everone and Tazoodle - you can join all 3 for free!

In my HYIP area CashTanker is still going strong. An opportunity for quick money with a small minimum investment ($5 or less!). CashTanker pays out 2% every day. Best of all there's no surfing to do and it's completely passive. But make sure you recover your seed money first and stay in withdrawn profit, as it will no doubt have a finite life span, hopefully many months. The fact that we can only access our principal after December 25th is slightly worrying! I gather he may go private at this date, but there is also the chance he could go very private and cease paying out completely!

As usual, there are lots of matrix and MLM programs out there, but unless you get in a very early position or you are a good recruiter or part of an excellent team, these are usually best avoided. 2X2 and 2X3 programs have been very popular with the recruiters and although I could do very well with some of these, I have tended to keep clear of them as I know most of my passive subscribers would struggle with them.

There has been a surge of interest in TVI Express, whose plan reminds me of the old gifting boards with a few new twists. Everyone and his dog appears to be offerring this, but of course it could mean that the more teams there are chasing the same people may well result in more and more half filled and stalled boards. I have probably received about 50 invites to this in the last few weeks as people become desparate to fill their boards. If you are tempted with this it is best to get in with a team you know and trust and will provide support to build your team. I have not gone for this as I feel it's a glorified money circulation program with the admin and big recruiters raking in the big money at the expense of everyone else. There are also a few question marks on who is running this program and from where. It was registered in London, but this was just a mailing address, and I believe Cyprus is their present home. It will be interesting to see how this develops! Best of luck to those who are part of it.

I will update the Reverse Pension Plan page with the latest information very soon, but as I said last month I hold out little hope of big payouts in the present financial climate, especially with the difficulty of moving large amounts of funds around.
